The Vdokhnoveniye Children Choir (Moscow, Russia)Artistic director and conductor – Elena Atlas Conductor assistant – Ksenia Minskaya Piano accompanists – Vera Kornienko and Svetlana Efimova
Special attention in the choir’s repertoire is paid to Russian spiritual music. The singers have received the awards of the Youth Festivals of Russian Orthodox Church singing. The choir participates in Divine Mass in various Russian orthodox temples. The concert set of Тhe Vdokhnoveniye choir consists of Russian and Western classical music. Dressed in Russian national costumes the children sing folk songs with the elements of Russian dances and play Russian national musical instruments. The works of modern composers are also included in the choir’s repertoire. The choir has been awarded diplomas and letters of credit as well as numerous prizes at: The Czech V-Day International Festival, Shalyapin’s International Competition of Choir and Vocal Art, The Southern Palmira International Competition of choir music, The Meeting of Friends International Competition, Bulgarian Friends Youth & Children Choirs Festival, The Youth Children’s Festival, Sveshnikov and The Present Choirs Competition.
The choir has performed together with the Russian Philharmonic Symphonic Orchestra and the Ivanov Brothers Symphojazz along with the Smolensk Chamber Orchestra. The Vdokhnoveniye has toured Saint-Petersburg, and dozens of other Russian cities, as well as The Ukraine and Belarus, also enjoying a warm welcome in Bulgaria, Finland, Sweden and The Czech Republic.
